K&N NextGen Air Intake Kit | VW Golf GTI, Golf R, Audi A3, S3 & Q3
K&N has expanded its NextGen Air Intake range with a new performance intake kit for selected Volkswagen Golf and Audi models.
The K&N NextGen cold air intake system is engineered for the Volkswagen Golf GTI. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow by 27% to the engine and provides an increase of 8.2 horsepower and 39 LB FT torque with no tune required. This intake system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter™ featuring oiled cotton filter media.
The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom designed NextGen air box helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes.
Dyno-Proven Performance
The K&N NextGen Air Intake Kit is engineered to deliver increased horsepower and torque on the engine’s standard tune. No additional engine tuning is required.
Its large-diameter, CAD-designed intake tube features strategically positioned air channels. These help improve airflow and increase airspeed, delivering more air to the engine.
The oversized air filter adds further airflow capacity. Its increased surface area and radius-entry design support improved intake performance.
Together, these features provide a straightforward way to upgrade the factory intake system.
NextGen Airbox
The K&N NextGen hybrid airbox features a semi-enclosed design to help manage intake air temperatures.
An enlarged fresh-air inlet allows more air into the system, while the airbox helps protect the filter from contaminants.
Combined with the oversized filter and large-diameter intake tube, the design supports improved airflow while adding a purposeful look to the engine bay.
Easy Installation
K&N has designed the NextGen Air Intake Kit for straightforward installation.
The simplified design reduces the amount of mounting hardware required. Quick-Lock technology also allows the filter to snap into place.
A sealing bead helps secure the system using just one hose clamp, making installation simpler.
