Installation.
Perfco Performance GPF/OPF Cancellation Kits connect to the pressure sensor of the GPF/OPF (gasoline particle filter). Follow the pressure measuring line to the pressure sensor and thus localise the installation location.
There are 3 different installation locations:
1. Rear of the engine, opposite the engine bulkhead (only F87N M2C, F87N M2CS and F82 M4)
2. Engine compartment (only EURO 6 RDE I – SA Code 1DE)
3. Underfloor area of the exhaust system, above heat shield (only EURO 6 RDE II – SA Code 1DF)
The pressure sensors are usually located on the back of the engine, opposite the engine bulkhead.
Please remove all panels required to assemble the Perfco Performance GPF/OPF Cancellation Kit. The assembly should ideally be done with a cold engine to prevent injuries. Please disconnect the original plug from the OPF pressure sensor.
Next, connect the Perfco Performance GPF/OPF Cancellation Kit with the original plug and the OPF pressure sensor – see figure 1.
This completes the installation – any panels that may have been removed can be reattached.
No coding work is necessary.
Important instructions
1. The pressure measuring line must always be mounted on the pressure sensor, but also on the exhaust system or downpipe. Otherwise the Perfco GPF cancellation kit cannot work.
2. To prevent the engine control light from appearing, a preventive reset of the OPF settings can be carried out.

Troubleshooting.
Error: 1A280A | 1A2814
Check the pressure measuring line, it must be mounted on the pressure sensor, but also on the exhaust system or downpipe. In rare cases it may be necessary the reset the OPF settings.

Error: 1A2810 | 1A2813 | 1A2817
In rare cases, it may be necessary to reset the OPF settings due to the adaptations of the OPF being too advanced. You can perform the reset using the BMW ISTA+ diagnostic software.
Procedure for OPF setting reset with ISTA+
Carry out a complete identification of the vehicle, then follow the paths: Vehicle management -> Service functions-> Power Train -> Engine electronics -> Petrol particulate filter -> Petrol particulate filter: register replacement
Carry out registering Petrol particulate filter replacement. Then delete all errors. After that, the errors should no longer occur
