The wastegate needs to be correctly matched for the engine and turbocharger combination, giving the end-user adequate control over boost pressure. There are two types of wastegates: external wastegates and actuator internal wastegates.
The Turbosmart Wastegate Actuators are an upgrade for turbochargers using an internal wastegate actuator. The Turbosmart range of Actuators benefit from years of external wastegate control development and provide better control for a wider tuning window & greater accuracy. The greater surface area of the Turbosmart IWG range ensures a high level of mechanical leverage and offers a vast range of spring options from 3psi to 26psi. Much more can be easily achieved with some external boost control.
Turbosmart, Internal Wastegate actuators, are manufactured from billet aluminium, utilising stainless steel rods & fasteners. Therefore, it allows for long, trouble-free service life and uses the same proprietary Silicon Nomex Diaphragms from our External Wastegates so you can be confident in their thermal performance and reliability.
Turbosmart prides itself in providing customers with the absolute pinnacle in boost control management. Whether it be for your street or race application, Turbosmart has a range of boost controllers to help you service your needs. There are two types of boost controllers; mechanical and electronic. Mechanical (or manual) boost controllers offer up to two boost settings set by the driver and controlled via a switch. They are easy to fit, simple in operation and require little maintenance. Electronic boost controllers are a far more sophisticated solution offering a host of boost settings mapped against different triggers like gear change, time, rpm or a manual switch. Need to monitor that boost? Turbosmart has you covered with its wide range of gauges for monitoring boost levels, as well as exhaust gas temperature (EGT) and transmission temps.
FUEL PRESSURE REGULATORS
The installation of performance fuel injectors or a high-flow fuel pump requires the use of an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to allow pressure adjustments while maintaining a stable base pressure. The Turbosmart Anti-Lag Valves Range provide a cost-effective fresh-air Anti Lag system for internal combustion engines.
Fresh Air or Bypass styler Anti Lag Valves redirect high-pressure air from the compressor around the engine and direct it to the turbine manifold in closed throttle situations. This Air, combined with a genuine anti-lag control strategy will ensure maximum turbine shaft speed is maintained and ultimately, ensure your turbo stays on boost, ready for you to open the throttle.
