THE TILLETT RANGE.
TILLETT B10.
The contemporary design of the Tillett B10 seat is stylish, lightweight, rigid and compact. The cut away sides of the B10 allow convenient use of the stock belts with the added benefit that getting in and out of the seat is also easier. The Tillett B10 has been given a modern fresh look and although its highly technical laminate is rigid and tough, it weighs only 4.5 kg.
The Tillett B10 is based on the popular B6 race shape, but modified to be more convenient for daily driving. The B6 has always been a great seat for those that liked a low head position with an enveloping and ultra-supportive shape, but often the race type belt holes were awkward when trying to feed a factory three-point seat belt through.
The B10’s cut away sides allow convenient use of the stock belts with the added benefit that getting in and out of the seat is also easier. However, we have been careful to make sure that the support of the driver is not compromised.
The front of the seat kicks up a little more than the B6, which not only aids drivers with longer legs but also helps if the seat were to be angled to a more upright position.
A more upright seat allows a comfortable arm length in saloon cars, where the steering column cannot be extended, or lengthened towards the driver. The headrest height has been raised over the B6 seat so that a driver with along torso does not run out of headrest support.
The B10 has been given a modern fresh look and although its highly technical laminate is rigid and tough, it weighs only 4.5 kg. The seat comes complete with a Dinamica® suede covered headrest pad. The optional suede covered cushion and back panels add 1 kg and are recommended when the car is intended for mainly road use.
The B10 can also use a full six-point race harness and is Hans compatible for those with a serious track car. The seat uses our latest FIA seat fittings to make certain it is mounted securely and can use all of our 2° bracket range.

TILLETT B9.
The lightest car seat option for road and track use in performance saloon cars. The B9 weighs an astonishing 3.2kg and has a beautiful gloss carbon finish both front and rear, making it a premium option.
The carefully contoured shape of the B9 locates the body firmly in position, providing excellent support & comfort for daily driving.
The B9 is identical in shape to the B8. The difference between the two models is weight and finish. The B9’s fantastic qualities are a result of its twin skin moulding construction, structural use of carbon fibre and epoxy resin. These attributes result in a seat both rigid and strong yet remains far lighter than any other comparable seats on the market.
The B9 has excellent support along with comfort and convenience for daily driving. The carefully contoured shape locates the body firmly in position, whilst leaving the shoulders free to steer the car unhindered. Its shape is so perfectly moulded to the body that it requires no covering, reducing the overall seat weight even further and lowering the driving position. The ability of the B9 to run without padding makes it ideal for an open topped car used in a harsh environment. We do however recommend using our thin Dinamica suede covered panel sets for more regular road use.
There are two edge cuts, the B9-44.5 we call “edges on” meaning the continuous rolled edge at the leg area of the seat remains uncut. This gives a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat making it easier to slide in and out of the car. Therefore, if you have the space, we recommend using this model.
If you do not have the space the B9-43 is needed. We call this specification the “edges off” option. These have the rolled edges at the leg area carefully removed to fit the seat between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of a restricted width cockpit. As an example, this trimmed back option is required to fit the B9 in a Lotus Elise/Exige.
KEY FEATURES.
- Incredibly light at 3.2 kg (weights of seats can vary by 10%).
- Main material Carbon epoxy.
- Mostly used in saloon cars such as Nissan GTR or Porsche.
- For Lotus Elise/Exige, the “edges off” B9-43 will need to be used.
- Swept away hip area allows for either a standard 3-point seat belt, or full racing harness (5 or 6 point is recommended).
- 20° Hans device compatible.
- Body mirroring shape.
- Rigid twin moulding construction adds to the safety and gives the driver unhindered support, and superb feedback.
- Two edge cut options for reducing external widths across the leg area, “edges on” 44.5cm or “edges off” at 43cm. See images for visual understanding.
- The B9 has four integrated fixing positions, using the same specifications as our high strength FIA approved seats.
- Manufactured using Tillett Racing Seats specialist in house moulding system to create strength and accuracy along with a moulding which is astonishingly light.
- Does not require padding making it a great option for ultimate feedback from the car, essential for a competition seat and ideal if the car interior is open to the elements.
- Uncovered as standard (see additional covered panel option if required below) A panel set will add approximately 1kg.
- Dinamica® covered headrest panel included as standard.
- All Tillett car seats are premium quality products designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
TILLETT B8.
The B8 car seat is Ideal for road and track use in performance saloon cars. The seat excels where support and weight saving are important, along with comfort and convenience for daily driving. Due to its twin moulding construction, it is rigid and strong yet remains lightweight.
The B8 has a carefully contoured shape which supports the body whilst leaving the shoulders free to steer the car unhindered. Its shape is so perfectly moulded to the body that it needs no covering, reducing the overall seat weight and lowering the driving position. The ability of the B8 to run without padding is ideal for an open topped car in a harsh environment. We do however recommend using our thin Dinamica suede covered panel sets for more regular road use.
There are two edge cuts, the B8-44.5 we call “Edges on” meaning the continuous rolled edge at the leg area of the seat remains uncut. This gives a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat making it easier to slide in and out of the car. Therefore, if you have the space, we recommend using this model.
If you do not have the space the B8-43 is needed. We call this specification the “Edges off” option. These have the rolled edges at the leg area carefully removed to fit the seat between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of a restricted width cockpit. This trimmed back option is required to fit the B8 in a Lotus Elise/Exige.

TILLETT B7 EPOXY CAR SEAT.
At 3.8 kg the B7 is the world’s lightest seat homologated to FIA standard 8855-1999. This is arguably the best performance racing seat on the market due to its incredibly compact design, high strength, ultralight weight, unrivalled support and manufacturing accuracy.
Some brands use misleading phrases alongside their FIA seat. Advertising, their product is the lightest. We can confidently state “Tillett are the only brand in the world that offer a FIA homologated 8855 – 1999 seat, usable in competition at 3.8kg”. This is achieved by manufacturing with our highly developed in house moulding technique. Tillett constantly invests in high levels of research and development. This creates parts with superior strength, accuracy and performance.
As with all Tillett seats, the B7 has a carefully contoured shape that supports the whole upper torso, leaving the shoulders free to steer the car unhindered. A high level of support throughout the seat and the removal of all pressure points is so comfortable, that the seat needs no covering at all. This not only helps with practicality on open top cars but also allows a much lower driving position than a seat with a thick foam cushion.
With its ultra-rigid design, the B7 retains the occupant in the intended position within the cockpit. Vital for stopping the harness and Hans device from becoming loose during an accident.
There are different edge cuts available. The B7-44 / B7-47 XL FIA are the variants we call “Edges on” meaning the seat has a continuous rolled edge. This feature allows for a more aesthetically pleasing line, making it easier to slide in and out of the car. Therefore, if you have the space, we recommend using these models.
The B7-40 FIA we call “Edges off”, these seats have the rolled edges by the leg cut away to fit them between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of any restricted width cockpit.
We can also offer the B7-43XL “edges off” but this model has not been homologated, if a wide but narrow edge cut seat is required, we suggest selecting the very similar B6-43 XL Screamer, as this model has been FIA tested and the same shape but only 2.2kg heavier. The B7-43 XL option is special-order.
KEY FEATURES.
- The lightest FIA approved homologated 8855-1999 seat in the world at 3.8kg (Weight of seats can vary by 10%).
- Carefully sculpted and designed to be the most compact of all race car seats, lowering the driving position and maintaining ultimate comfort.
- Body mirroring shape gives the driver support and unhindered steering control.
- The rigidity designed into this seat firmly locates the driver within the intended space, keeping the seat belts and Han’s device in position throughout any potential collision.
- Two internal seat widths available, Standard B7 and the 30mm wider B7-XL is for drivers generally over 100kg.
- Two edge cut options for reducing external widths across the leg area, “edges on” 44cm/47cm-XL or “edges off” at 40cm. All options FIA homologated to 8855 – 1999. See images for visual understanding.

- Full race harness and 30° Hans compatible (5 or 6 point race harness recommended).
- Gloss carbon fibre finish.
- Manufactured at the Tillett factory using their specialist moulding system, creating strength and accuracy.

- Dinamica® covered headrest panel included as standard.
- All seat panels are customisable, contact the office directly or see bespoke add on product pages.

TILLETT B6.
The 2022 model of the B6 is a compact lightweight seat suited to many types of performance and track day cars. The construction has been re-developed to improve it both structurally and cosmetically. Visibly it now matches the beautifully proportioned B6 Screamer FIA seat.
The seat has a lighter construction than the FIA version, due to the seat not needing to conform to FIA requirements. It can have bottom mounts, this is preferred in super narrow cockpits.
Despite not having the FIA accreditation, the new update increases the strength and rigidity over the previous B6 model first released over 20 years ago.
The narrow B6-40 can often be seen in vehicles such as the Lotus, and Caterham’s with the B6-44 “edges on” seat type used in GT’s, saloon cars and many more vehicle types.
The B6 is a perfect combination of a premium track racing seat and road car seat. Giving maximum support and feedback yet comfortable enough for use on the road, making it a great option for most performance cars.
The rolled outer edge along the leg support area can either be removed for a narrow cockpit “edges off” or left on to create a continuous rolled edge around the whole perimeter of the seat “edges on”.
KEY FEATURES.
- Two internal seat sizes available, Standard B6 and the 30 mm wider B6 XL.
- Two edge cut options for reducing external widths across the leg area, “edges on” or “edges off”. See images for visual understanding.
- Two seat mounting point options available, Bottom mounted “BM” or Side mounted “SM”.
- Full race harness and 30° Hans compatible (5 or 6 point race harness recommended).
- 4.5-5.1 kg (Weight of seats can vary by 10%) check sizing for weight difference.

It’s perfectly contoured shape gives excellent support, whilst at the same time leaving the shoulders free to help steer the car unhindered.
The Screamer is manufactured using our internally developed moulding system, which creates superior strength and accuracy. With its ultra-rigid design, the seat keeps the occupant in the intended position within the cockpit. Vital for stopping the harness and Hans device from becoming loose during an accident.
The B6S-44/B6S-XL-47 Screamer variants we call “Edges on” meaning the continuous rolled edge of the composite is uncut, giving a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat and making it easier to slide in and out of the car. Therefore, if you have the space, we recommend using this model.
The B6S-40/B6S-XL-43 Screamers we call “Edges off”, have the rolled edges carefully removed specially to fit the seat between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of a restricted width cockpit.

TILLETT B4.
The B4 is a reclined, twin skin, supportive yet lightweight car seat. The design is incredibly supportive, its twin skin moulding gives rigidity and strength.
The main reason for choosing a B4 seat, to lower the drivers head and shoulders in the car. At the same time the seat also has a comfortable ergonomic shape that requires no padding. The B4 comes with the added benefit of weighing only 4.9kg and can fit in the narrowest of cars by using the version with the rolled edges removed. Giving a measurement of just 40cm across the top of the legs.
KEY FEATURES.
- The B4 has the strength of a twin skin moulding whilst only weighing 4.9kg (Weight of seats can vary by 10%).
- More reclined race car position, with high sides.
- The B4-40 has cut back edges to allow the seat to fit between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of a narrow cockpit. A 40 cm front will fit a Caterham, Westfield, and most other similar vehicles.
- The B4-43the rolled edge is left on, giving a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat and making it easier to slide over if access is restricted.

TILLETT B3.5.
The B3.5 is a lightweight and narrow single skin car seat. The main reasons for choosing a B3.5 seat would be to fit a seat in a reduced space within the car and weight saving. The B3.5 has a narrow maximum width across the leg area of 33cm and weighs approximately 2.1kg.
This is a great option for cars where obstructions such as the gearbox, lead to a reduced space surrounding the legs. If a driver does not have this space issue but needs the reclined back position, we would recommend the dual skin high-side version that is the B4. This model may weigh slightly more at 3.9kg but it allows the driver to use base mounted car seat brackets that the B3.5 cannot.
The B3.5 must have bespoke fixing points made to connect the shell to the car, contacting the seat in specific areas. (See diagram within the images for more precise understanding)
The very reclined B3.5 is mostly used in prototype sports cars, formula cars, or race car simulators. It is extremely lightweight, and positions the driver low into the chassis, making it a perfect option to simulate a Formula car.
KEY FEATURES.
- The B3.5 has a unique shape that allows the leg area to be as narrow as 33 cm external width. Then the upper body area under the arms 43cm for more movement and comfort. See gallery for a precise understanding.
- Thin, ultra-lightweight single skin shell 2.1kg (weights of seat scan vary by 10%).
- More reclined race car position.
- Suited to track vehicles where the driver is very low, such as prototype sports cars, formula cars, or race car simulators.
- Available to order in two finishes (See selection).
- Full race harness and 30° Hans compatible (5 or 6 point race harness recommended).
- This model is not self-supporting and therefore requires fixing to hard points either on the vehicle itself, a roll bar, bulkhead, or from a specially made support frame constructed by the customer.
- A minimum of five fixing points MUST be used, two high up on the sides, at least one behind the headrest pad and two fixings in the areas under the driver’s legs (see diagram in images).
- Dinamica® covered Headrest panel included as standard.
- Optional Dinamica® suede covered lower cushion and back panel set (Panel set weight is approximately 0.9kg).
- All seat panels are customisable at an additional charge, see product page SP1 or SP2 for more information.
- Tillett car seat brackets are NOT compatible with any single skin seats.
- Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
TILLETT B2.
The B2 car seat has a very reclined racing position with raised leg support, making it the perfect option for drivers looking to take their performance cars to the track. Due to its twin moulding construction, it is still rigid and strong despite its lightweight nature. For a Tillett car seat with the same reclined back position but lower leg support, see our B4 Car seat.
KEY FEATURES.
- 44.5cm external maximum width.
- 3.2KG (weights of seats can vary by 10%).

- Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
TILLETT C1.
This competition focused seat is a new direction for Tillett Racing Seats and is based on our popular B6 Screamer. It retains the compact dimensions of the B6 but also has a side impact head support.
The seat can be used comfortably without any lower padding, giving ultimate feel and feedback but at the same time retains great peripheral vision, which is essential in a competition seat. The ability of this seat to be used without covering and the carefully sculptured shape mean that you can achieve a lower driving position with more legroom than most of the competition. Its perfect ergonomic shape gives excellent support, whilst at the same time leaving the shoulders free to help steer the car unhindered.
The C1 is ultra rigid but under impact envelops and decelerates the occupant in a controlled and limited way to avoid injury. This safely keeps the competitor in the intended position within the cockpit. The rigidity is vital for stopping the harness and Hans device from becoming loose during an accident. Another benefit is that the uncovered version is ideal in harsh environments.
The C1 has an XL size for drivers of over 100 kg with a waist size over 36 inches.
These seats are manufactured using our internally developed moulding system, which creates perfect laminates which are super strong and consistent.
The C1 is supplied as standard with three Dinamica® suede covered headrest pads. As an extra cost option additional padded Dinamica® cushion and back panels are also available. The weight of the C1 and C1 XL is light from 7.1 kg, or 8.1 kg including the suede covered cushion and back panels. With the C1 you have the choice to order a 41 or 44 cm front and both types are the same size internally. The C1-41 version is made to allow fitment between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of a restricted width cockpit.
With the XL size you have the C1-44 XL for those vehicles that have a narrow cockpit and the C1-47 XL for cars where the space is available.
With the C1-44 and C1-47 XL the continuous rolled edge of the composite is uncut, giving a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat and making it easier to slide in and out of the car quickly. Therefore, if you have the space, we recommend using this model.
Both cut and uncut models are FIA homologated to 8855-1999.
