FOAM FORMULA
45 PPI FOAM
Utilising this free flowing foam to capture the large dirt particles in an optimised thickness of 9mm, this first layer provides a great balance between filtration and flow.
60 PPI FOAM
5mm Layer of 60 PPI foam is used to filter out any finer particles that make their way through the more open foam, this layer is mostly for protection, by keeping its thickness to a minimum it doesn’t disrupt the great flow of air this filter allows.
FREE-FLOWING FRAME
On motorcycle applications, we are now switching over to an outer frame design, this increases the flow-able area on the filter, this is down to us removing the restriction of mesh within this space.
PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT
In the pursuit of quality products that perform we have tested multiple different versions of this filter to make sure we are putting out the best
possible product. This has lead us to a product that performs as good as it looks!
This chart compares the pressure drop at set flow rate intervals, these figures have come from testing using our in house, state of the art, flow bench.
What it shows is that across the range, the Pipercross MPX filter causes less pressure drop when compared to the OEM Paper filter, meaning that the filter has less restriction, in turn allowing air to flow through easier.
This will allow power to be picked up from the very beginning of the rev range all the way through to the end.
