Air Filter Maintenance.
Maintain your Perfco Performance air filter’s performance and keep the filter in top condition with our specialist maintenance Kit.
- 1 x 100ml Cleaner Solution: Safely removes dirt and debris without damaging the filter, ensuring it remains effective and efficient.
- 1 x 100ml Dirt Retention Additive: Enhances and protects your filter, providing ongoing performance and durability.
The Cleaning Process.
Note: Ensure you are working in a well ventilated area.
1. Firstly remove large visible dirt from the filter by gently rubbing the foam with the palm of your hand.
2. Using a small washing up bowl empty the contents of the filter cleaner into the bowl.
3. Wearing your gloves proceed to gently roll the filter in the cleaning agent working the fluid into the foam gently with your finger tips.
4. Gently ease out the fluid from the foam letting the bulk of it drip free from the filter.
5. Allow the filter sufficient time to dry naturally. DO NOT use compressed air or heat to dry the filter, this will cause damage to the foam.
6. Cleaning fluid can be reused if passed through a sieve removing larger dirt particles.
Re-Oiling.
Note: Ensure you are working in a well ventilated area. For general road use, filters need only a very light coating of oil. Over oiling can cause restriction to the filter.
1. Using the provided glove, apply a small amount of oil to your palm and work over the surface of your hand.
2. Using a massage motion work the oil evenly and lightly over the surface of the air filter. An average filter will only need approx 1/3 of a bottle.
3. Allow the oil to settle into the foam/pleat and reapply another layer if needed.
AN SERIES
The AN Series foam air filters utilise an aluminium spun twin tangental base and twin layer foam with internal 304 stainless steel cage for maximum strength. The aluminium neck filter makes this filter the perfect fit for silicone or soft intake hoses.
RN SERIES
Our RN Series universal cone filters are equipped with a durable rubber polymer neck and a conical filter element. Built with a stainless-steel inner cage and 15mm thick dual-layer performance foam, these filters provide both durability and high performance.
CA SERIES
Direct mounting to the carburettor body – Our CA Series filters feature a durable filter element reinforced by a stainless-steel cage. Precision-cut baseplates fit a variety of popular carburettor models, with quick-release fasteners for easy installation.
FS SERIES
Our FS Series filter socks are available in both single and dual styles, designed to pull over the carburettor trumpets or the engines air intakes. FS Series filter socks are ideal for use where there is not sufficient space to fit our larger CA Series carburettor filters.
FP SERIES
The Perfco Performance FP Series lightweight aluminium enclosure shields against hot air keeping the intake temperatures low, while the bell mouth smooths the airflow and significantly improves performance. It is compatible with all of our 150mm OD AN and RN Series filters.
